Bully Genie app for iPhone and iPad

Bully Genie is an inexpensive and easy-to-use app designed to help victims or witnesses of bullying to send an auto-composed call for help. Utilizing an Apple Smartphones texting and Location Services, a text alert message can be triggered to semi-automatically broadcast to as many as three recipients. The text alert will include an "I need help" message, as well as the location of the sender when a GPS signal is recognized. The app can be setup to continuously compose a text alert message every 1 - 5 minutes until it is terminated.

This easy-to-use app only requires the user to customize the Profile:

- Phone # 1: (Required: Phone number of the 1st recipient ... must be 10 digits)

- Phone # 2: (Optional: 2nd recipient)

- Phone # 3: (Optional: 3rd recipient)

- Frequency: (Required: Number of minutes between alerts ... 1 to 5)

Once the profile is customized and saved, the alert process can be triggered by simply clicking the Bully Genie icon then clicking Start Alert. The app requires Location Services to be in the "on" position. If Location Services is "off," immediately after clicking the Bully Genie icon, the user will be presented with a dialog screen that will allow the service to be turned on.

Bully Genie will continuously auto-compose an alert message for the designated recipients at the designated frequency until the process is terminated. When it is time for the user to send the auto-composed text message alert, the device will begin to vibrate. The device will continue to vibrate until the user clicks the "Send" button. Note: The app must be the active program to allow the user to see the auto-composed message and for the phone to vibrate. If Bully Genie is not the active program, a brief notification will appear at the top of the screen and the number "1" will appear at the top right corner of the Bully Genie icon...signifying that an alert was missed. Clicking on either the notification or the Bully Genie icon with the "1" will bring up the text window and the device will start to vibrate.

The alert process is terminated when one of the following occurs:

- The Stop Alert button is clicked; or

- The app is terminated; or

- The power is drained.

Bully Genie may be the perfect app to help the person who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
